Announcing Cowgirl Camp 2022

As I'm sitting here typing this I can hardly contain my excitement so I'll jump right to the news: Cowgirl Camp (aka the Little Creek Women's Retreat) is happening again this year and we're holding TWO sessions this time to squeeze as many people in as we can.

Cowgirl Camp is something I’ve dreamt about doing for years. Getting the opportunity last summer to bring a group of women out to the place where I first realized my passion for ranching and give them a chance to get away from it all made my heart so incredibly full and I seriously can’t wait to do it all over again this summer.

In a nutshell, Cowgirl Camp is an all-inclusive rustic (the digs are comfortable, but it's not glamping!) retreat for women who want to experience the real mountain west first hand, get outdoors, and meet new people from all walks of life. I'm going to get sappy for a minute here: My goal with creating Cowgirl Camp (and Shepherd Camp) was to foster a community for those who have traditionally had less access to ranching, and it's been such a joy to get to know such enthusiastic and soulful women from all over who want to learn more about the world of ranching! These retreats wouldn't be what they are without them.

We’ll be staying at Battle Creek Ranch again, owned by Lary and Shelly Richtmyer. I mentioned that the ranch holds a lot of meaning for me, but it also holds tons of history as a former sheep ranch. Tucked away on 15,000 acres in the middle of nowhere, it has no wifi and limited cell service, which means you'll have the opportunity to truly unplug for the weekend.

The ranch is historic, but lodging is comfortable and cozy with log cabins with bathrooms and showers that the ranch owners hand built and renovated themselves. Trust me, you’ll never sleep better than in a cabin in Montana’s high country. And that’s a good thing, because our days will be pretty full with activities!

You’ll get to ride horses, work sheep (I'll be bringing the sheeple again!), go to a local rodeo and more with the beautiful Montana high country as a backdrop. You'll also have lots of time to rest and enjoy the ranch at your leisure as well.

Check out this reel of last year's group working sheep! Everyone got the chance to health check, hoof trim, and shear a whooooole lot!

Here's a reel of the stunning horseback ride we'll be taking through the ranch’s "canyon." Definitely a major highlight!

Part of Cowgirl Camp being all inclusive means we take care of all the meals and let me tell you...the food is INCREDIBLE! Our chef makes amazing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners with local protein (lots of Little Creek beef and lamb for the meat eaters!) and plenty of seasonal fruits and vegetables. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

At the end of the retreat, everyone will be getting a swag bag full of Little Creek goodies to take home to remember our time together! I can’t wait to get to meet our two new groups of "campers" and make more memories together in such a magical place.

And with that, I'll leave you with some more video memories from last year:

Counting down the days,
