Frequently Asked Questions

Our Meats

Our lamb is 100% grass-fed and finished. Our beef is 100% grass-fed up until the 6 months prior to harvest, during which we supplement with a light barley ration for consistency and tenderness.

We do not administer growth hormone, nor do we give our harvest animals sub-therapeutic or single dose antibiotics. If a member of our flock or herd needs medical attention, we will of course do all that is needed including antibiotics. But that animal would not be harvested for our customers.

We may pursue certification one day. But for now, we appreciate the flexibility in not being certified. For example, we are able to source excellent quality hay locally rather than having organic hay trucked in,.

Our Store

We are open 8-6 every day except Sundays, when we close at 5 pm.

Between the months of June and September we are open one extra hour later in the evenings. We are closed on major holidays. Don't hesitate to call ahead!

Yes! At checkout, you'll have the option to select either Little Creek Feed in Townsend or our cold storage in Bozeman for your order pickup. We'll be in touch after that with more details.

Yes! We can ship (most) products from the store, including our meats. Our team can walk you through the process at checkout.

By sending an email to caroline@littlecreekmontana.com with your wholesale menu, pricing and MOQ's. Please understand we have to be very selective due to limited space, and that there are some product categories we do not carry.

We have a great team, and will share any job openings on our social media. But feel free to reach out to support@littlecreekmontana.com to ask directly!

Shipping

We highly recommend a 5 lb minimum for shipped orders. This makes sure the meat stays cold in transit. You are welcome to order less, but it does void our shipping protection.

Yes. Most of our shipping materials are curbside recyclable, and the exceptions are home compostable!

We ship ranch goods throughout the week. Perishables orders ship once per week, on Mondays.

We offer free shipping on orders over $300.

Non-perishable orders ship for $9 flat rate.

Perishable orders ship flat rate based on time zone. Montana = $29. MST = $39. All other zones = $59.

We do not make money on shipping, in fact, we subsidize the true cost about 10%. We recommend stocking up so that you can spread the shipping price out, or hitting the free shipping minimum!

Yes, you'll have an option at checkout to add shipping protection to your order. It adds a negligible amount onto the total price, and offers complete insurance in case of any delays, theft, or other issues with delivery. While these issues are rare, it's better to be safe than sorry.

We ship perishable orders with dry ice via UPS with overnight deliver. Your order will arrive within 24-48 hours of shipment (but usually 24 or less). Your box will come with safe handling instructions for the dry ice. It may all be sublimated by the time you open your box; that's normal!

Subscriptions

Yes! We open our subscriptions up at certain times of the year, and we would love to have you join us when we do.

Easy! You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime. We can also bump shipping dates later, change your box size, and customize the contents (within reason).

Absolutely. A week or so before your subscription ships, we will send an email about add-ons and other details. We'd be happy to send you other goods from our store.

Within reason, yes! We have packed and shipped over 1,000 beef subscriptions at this point and can confidently say that we can accommodate 95% of requests.
