Something I’ve been dreaming about for years is finally happening: we are hosting our very first women’s retreat this summer!
As you may have seen in your email inbox or on social media, we are bringing a group to Big Sky Country (specifically Battle Creek Ranch, my absolute favorite place on the planet) to unwind and unplug for a weekend of fun, great food, community and #ranchlife. While we know some folks are disappointed the event sold out within several hours of being posted on social media, we DO plan on adding more dates for 2022 and announcing them much earlier!
The response to this retreat has been so overwhelming that we’re currently sold out. In the meantime, you can click here to sign up to be notified when we announce the next one. We hope to make this an annual event!
We’ll be staying at Battle Creek Ranch, owned by Lary and Shelly Richtmyer, which holds a lot of meaning for me. Tucked away on 15,000 acres in the middle of nowhere, it’s where I cut my teeth as a ranch hand, spending countless long, hot days herding cattle in the mountains. There’s no wifi and limited cell service, but you don’t miss those things much when you’re spending time outside and enjoying the real mountain west! The ranch is home to a herd of horses, 700 pairs of cows and calves, and there’s all kinds of wildlife to spot.
Lodging is nice and comfortable: We’ll be resting our heads for the night in cozy log cabins with bathrooms and showers that the ranch owners hand built and renovated themselves. Trust me, you’ll never sleep better than in a cabin in Montana’s high country. And that’s a good thing, because our days will be pretty full with activities! (Though we will give you time to rest and enjoy the ranch as well.)
Once everyone arrives and is settled in, we’ve got lots of fun things planned, including a stunning horseback ride through the ranch’s “canyon,” sheep shearing and lamb weaning (I’ll be bringing my flock of sheep up to the ranch to regeneratively graze and care for them while we’re there), a relaxing trip to the sulphur hot springs, a small town rodeo, and fantastic meals by the campfire and some extra special surprises too! It's basically my dream weekend coming to life.🤩
Oh and the FOOD. Let me tell ya, it’s gonna be good. I’ll be bringing tons of Little Creek beef for the meat eaters and our guests will be in for a long weekend of home cooked ranch food with a twist, and plenty of healthy options.
At the end of the retreat, everyone will be getting a swag bag full of Little Creek goodies to take home to remember our time together! I can’t wait to get to know everyone and make memories together in such a magical place.
Can it be August already?
